Mark England to head Lucy Electric’s digital unit
Lucy Electric appoints Mark England to lead its new Digital Solutions division, strengthening focus on grid flexibility, data integration, and smart energy systems.

UK, England, London: Lucy Electric has announced the appointment of Mark England as Director of its newly established Digital Solutions division. The move reflects the company’s strategic efforts to integrate its digital technologies and respond to the evolving needs of the electricity distribution sector.
The newly formed division brings together various existing technologies – including GridKey, Synaps, and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) systems – into a single, dedicated team. The aim is to support utilities and distribution operators in adapting to increasing demand for data-driven, resilient grid infrastructure.
With over three decades of experience in the energy and technology sectors, Mark England brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. He previously held executive roles at Xylem and Sentec, where he was instrumental in developing Smart Grid and Smart Metering technologies.
The company sees England’s appointment as a step toward accelerating digital innovation, improving its solutions portfolio, and supporting customers in navigating changes in grid operations, renewables integration, and energy demand.
