Thailand, Bangkok: The 15-year AI-driven programme, described as the country’s largest, aims to transform the electricity ecosystem by modernising power distribution, strengthening security, and optimising energy efficiency across the nation.

Unlike traditional infrastructure projects, the initiative uses an innovative financing model to ensure large-scale execution and long-term financial benefits. Key features include AI-powered grid management for optimised energy flows and real-time cybersecurity monitoring.

The project will scale gradually, with major revenue growth expected from 2026-2027 as smart grid technology becomes fully operational. Over its 15-year span, the initiative is projected to generate multi-billion-dollar cumulative revenue.

Gorilla’s Technology Specialist, Viraphan Paiboolsilp, called the agreement a “defining moment” for both the company and Thailand’s energy sector, setting a regional benchmark for energy modernisation.
