USA, Florida, Hollywood: NV5, a provider of tech-enabled engineering and consulting services, has secured a $5 M contract to design high-voltage substations supporting data centers in Georgia and Nevada. The project will help ensure reliable and efficient energy delivery to power-hungry facilities and nearby communities.

Under the contract, NV5 will deliver a full suite of services including engineering design, construction oversight, commissioning, and coordination between utility providers and data center developers.

The substations, operating between 120 kV and 345 kV, will feature multiple transmission feeds, high-capacity transformers, and advanced switchgear. NV5 will also provide critical system elements such as relay settings, SCADA and HMI programing, and full power system studies to maintain safety and stability.

“These awards demonstrate NV5’s competitive advantage supporting not just the operability of data centers, but also the utility infrastructure required to power data center assets and surrounding communities,” said Ben Heraud, CEO of NV5.
